JOHN, THE BAPTIST! (PART-1)

Greetings to all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

We all believe in Holy Baptism of our Lord. But think about this person who baptised Jesus!

  • In his humility, he baptised Jesus!
  • He was a forerunner of Christ!
  • He was able to prepare a way for the bridegroom!
  • He was the greatest prophet known.

What can we learn from this biblical hero?
Let us ponder for a while.

1. Works of God should be made manifest in us.

Do you remember, Jesus' encounter with his disciples? When disciples asked him, saying,

"Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him."

  • I often think we all are created for this.
  • His work should be made manifest in all of us.
  • when Elizabeth became pregnant, we see a most powerful verse said to Mother Mary, "For with God, nothing is impossible!"
  • Birth of John, the Baptist, was God's miracle.
  • Same is yours and mine.
  • Let us pray that we may always remember,

"I am fearfully and  wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." and that, "the works of God should be made manifest in me."
